Will e-mail filtering software affect e-mails I receive from SmileFinder?

E-mail filtering software installed on your computer may affect account information communicated from us to you.

We use your e-mail address to confirm your registration, order status, and subscription payments. If you should ever forget your password, we will send you an e-mail with a security code so you can reset it. We also use e-mail to respond to inquiries as well as to keep you updated about our services and any news concerning your account(s).

To ensure you receive important e-mails, we recommend you add the "" domain to your address book or e-mail "safe list".

If your settings do not allow you to add e-mail addresses to a "safe list," contact your e-mail, Internet provider and ask them to help you configure your e-mail account.

We do not recommend you disable your e-mail filtering software!

It is important to note that we do not sell, trade, or give away our e-mail list.

How do I update my SmileFinder listing?

The quickest way is to register at our sister site WebDentistry subscribers can link all of their directory listings to their accounts and enjoy enhanced listings. If you are not a WebDentistry member, you can register here.

If you are already a member, make sure you are logged in with your username and password. If so, click on the link for "Your Account" and you'll open your personal administrative panel. From that panel, click on the link to your SmileFinder listing and enter the password for the listing you wish to edit.

Please note, for many reasons, not the least of which is that we don't have access to your personal password, we are unable to assign your main password to your listing.

What is your policy for submitting content such as links, listings, downloads, stories, etc.?

You must be a registed member to submit content to WebDentistry. Once you have logged in as a member, your personal control panel will have links to use for all submissions. We regret that we cannot publish all items submitted to us. You can read our terms for content submission here.

I do not have a PayPal account. Can I still subscribe?

You do not have to have a PayPal account. PayPal accepts most major credit cards.

PayPal, is owned by eBay, one of the largest publicly traded Internet companies. We chose them to processes our subscription transactions because we feel they offer our subscribers the best, and most secure, service for these types of transactions.

What is your cancellation policy?

We never want to lose a member but, if you wish to cancel your membership, you can do so at any time from PayPal's website. Upon request, we will process a cancellation on your behalf.

I noticed some SmileFinder listings are always on top while the rest are in alphabetical order. How can I have my listing on top?

We have three tiers of listings. Our top tier includes doctors who bid for placement. The highest bidder will always be on top whenever their listing comes up in a search. The second tier includes doctors who have paid memberships. In some cases, a paid membership will be all you need to be on the top of the list and you must have a paid membership to bid for placement. To subscribe, go to our signup page.

I bid for placement so why am I on top for some searches and not others?

This happens when you have the hightest bid for your zip code but someone in your city has out bid you. When a search by zip code is done, you're on top but, when a search by city is done, they're on top. The person with the highest bid is always on top.

What is WebDentistry's advertising policy?

WebDentistry members may submit announcements including new product announcements; however, all content submitted is subject to editorial review and may be rejected at the discretion of the editors. All announcements which are not easily distinguished from scientific papers or which otherwise disguise their commercial purpose will be rejected and the submitter may be warned or banned from the service. For additional information about submissions, please see our submissions policy.

What about Google's Adsense?

WebDentistry is currently experimenting with Google's Adsense. One reason we decided to examine this technology is that it allows us to filter advertising content. We are monitoring the service and, depending upon our experience and member feedback, may discontinue the service at any time. We can't possibly monitor everything posted to Adsense by Google; so, if you see something you believe is inappropriate, please let us know. Your feedback is important and will never be ignored.
